The Danish software developer Systematic has experienced a breakthrough as a Norwegian region invests in the company’s wayfinding solution for hospitals.

In the near future, patients at hospitals in the Norwegian region called Helse Vest will find their way to and around hospitals by the help of an IT solution from Danish software developer Systematic.

With the new wayfinding solution, patients and their relatives can get an exact description of how to find the right hospital department from their homes on their mobile, tablet or PC. The aim is to increase patient safety and make the treatment process less stressful. 1.1 million people live in Helse Vest and Systematic’s route indication solution will come into use at the four large university hospitals as well as the region’s other hospitals.

The solution has been developed in cooperation with the New University Hospital in Aarhus, Denmark, and is currently helping patients and staff navigating through the hospital, which is more than 3.5 km long.
