Japan learns about Danish healthcare innovation

A Japanese delegation visits Odense, Denmark, to learn about the Danish healthcare system and innovation.

On February 13-18, 2017, a delegation from the Japanese JIKEI University School of Medicine visited Odense, Denmark. The aim of the visit was to learn more about the Danish healthcare system with a special focus on the medical sector and innovative technologies.

During the visit, the delegation was introduced to different kinds of training including training and working conditions for paramedics, training of eye disorders in Denmark, and training of hearing disorders in Denmark. General introductions to the Danish healthcare system and implementation of innovative technologies were also part of the program.

On February 17, 2017, the program included a meeting with and presentation by Hans Erik Henriksen, CEO of Healthcare DENMARK, who talked about Danish healthcare strategies and initiatives, elderly care, and new hospital construction projects.

The visit to Odense was coordinated by Danish consultancy company Illuminaut.
