‘MusiCure Pillow’ is an ergonomic foam pillow with our specially developed built-in sound system, with sound in high quality. The pillow is approved and registered as a class 1 medical device and CE marked according to the standard EU regulations. Several medical studies, published in international medical journals, have proved that the pillow is an effective tool for stress relief, improved healing of delirium and better sleep for patients and residents.

‘MusiCure Stream’ is our streaming service with over 40 hours of evidence-based music and nature films, including special programs for treatment, as well as an 8-hour Night/Sleep program. Together with the pillow, MusiCure Stream have been tested and documented over many years in hospitals and care centres in Denmark and internationally.

Treatment of delirium patients with the MusiCure Pillow

Result: 69% of patients needed less medication, came out of their delirium significantly faster

Background: In 2019, at the Danish hospital Hvidovre, the staff at the Department of Cardiology took the initiative to test the MusiCure music, played through the MusiCure Pillow, on patients with delirium. The results from the introduction of the pillows and the music in the treatment were very positive. The very positive results were followed up by 4 other hospitals with similar success. The MusiCure pillow is now standard for this and other patient groups.

Study with physiological measurements of oxytocin in heart patients

In the MusiCure group levels of oxytocin increased significantly in contrast to the control group

A research project with the aim to study oxytocin levels in patients who had undergone heart surgery listening to MusiCure music through a pillow during bed rest after the operation.
Results: In the music group levels of oxytocin increased significantly in contrast to the control group for which the trend over time was negative i.e. decreasing values. Project leader and author: Nilsson Ulrica, RNA, PhD, Assistant Professor (presently professor at Karolinska in Stockholm).

8 individual channels with evidence-based programs

All MusiCure music and film programs presented on one common platform, with eight individual channels of evidence-based music and nature films. MusiCure Stream is our own streaming service, where all our material is made available through 8 separate channels with both music, nature films and special programs for treatment, as well as an 8 hour Night/Sleep program. The entire contents are available with a subscription to the service. Subscriptions include both institutions like hospitals and care centers, as well as private users.

Recovery patients waking up after surgery experience MusiCure music and nature films

A survey with over 300 patients

In 2019, Odense University Hospital (OUH) introduced a new initiative with MusiCure music and films with nature for patients waking up
after surgery. A survey with over 300 patients, showed that 98% of the patients found it soothing and relaxing to wake up after surgery, 94% of the nurses expressed the same conclusion.
The concept is today a permanent routine in the ward and several thousand patients have initially experienced this life-affirming way of waking up after surgery.
