Export promotion for Danish health tech companies to Sweden

This September, the Danish Minister for Senior Citizens will lead a Danish business delegation to Sweden on an export promotion that will focus on health tech and elderly care and aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between Danish and Swedish stakeholders.

The Swedish healthcare sector grapples with challenges stemming from an ageing population, increased urbanisation, and resource constraints in remote regions, particularly across vast northern Sweden. Despite regional autonomy and data security concerns, efforts to establish a unified medical record system have been impeded, resulting in inefficiencies and opacity within the system.

This is driving a surge in demand for innovative medical equipment and digital solutions, aligning with both regional and municipal strategies aimed at providing comprehensive treatment, rehabilitation, and monitoring services in close proximity to patients.

Healthcare Denmark, Danish Chamber of Commerce and the Danish Embassy in Stockholm are pleased to invite Danish companies specialising in assisted living technology, elderly welfare, digital welfare, and chronic diseases to this export promotion event to Sweden.
