Last month, at MEDICA – Leading International Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, Healthcare Denmark officially launched a brand-new publication about the Danish approach to innovation within health and assistive care.

The publication addresses the issue by focusing on the challenges of an ageing population, more people living with chronic diseases, and a shortage of healthcare professionals. In the coming years, the Danish healthcare system will undergo significant transformations due to these challenges. Part of the transformation includes strategic development and implementation of health and assistive technologies to advance health and care in the future.  

These issues highlight the importance of innovative companies to supply solutions that meets the needs of the healthcare sector. Denmark already has strong prerequisites for contributing to the development of future health technology due to a user-driven approach to innovation, public-private partnerships, and public-private innovation.
